Are you interested in angels, demons, ghosts, spirits, and monsters? Are you curious about their origins, tales, and influence upon history and on the present day? If so, then sit back, relax, and welcome to Seven Demonology, the podcast that explores all of this and more.
In fact, if my reckoning is correct, you're now in the first episode of season eight, believe it or not. And we are on the countdown for Southern Demonology being in existence for ten years, and that will happen in 2027. Yeah, it's uh it's been a while, a wild ride. But I have a really nice kind of present. It's something that I've been looking forward to for a number of months. It's taking a while for both of our schedules to kind of sync up, but the stars aligned today, which I am extremely grateful for. And I am joined by Miss Amanda.
And rather than try to butcher anything on my end, why don't you share with uh with the listeners who you are, what you do, all that kind of fun stuff.
Sure, of course. So my name is Amanda, and I am known as Beautiful Distraction86 on my social platforms, and I also run a professional detailing business called Autography Detailing.
Nice. Yeah, she is a cosplayer of some renown. Definitely check her out on Instagram. Are you on any other socials besides Instagram?
I am. So I have a TikTok, and that's gonna be uh perfectly misaligned. Uh it's a sleep token reference. If you guys can see behind me, this just nothing but sleep token in my room. But yes, as JJ was saying, I do a lot of cosplay. I've been cosplaying since, oh my gosh, my age is about to be revealed, uh, since 2014 up until now. So a very long time.
Very nice. And you do some phenomenal cosplays. It's thank you. It's well worth checking out. But I became aware of Amanda through our mutual friend Chris over at The Wandering Road. She has been on his program a few times sharing some of her stories, and I got to join in on the fun on one of their conversations, and you know those situations where you just instantly kind of click with somebody. That was my reaction to Amanda. Because first she had anime toys up in the background.
I don't know what that's like, but and that was like, yep, you're all automatically pretty cool in my books, and then everything else, it just became great. In fact, I even did some consultations with her. But before we get into the meat of your story, Amanda, I wanted to take a little bit of a spiritual precaution and read the prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel. Because there's some pretty heavy stuff floating around you. And not not that I can see it, but I know that from experience.
So I figured let's just take it easy and do this, just you know, an ounce of prevention is better than nothing.
Yes, please.
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him. We humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruination of souls. Amen. JT I will say I will up that one more time and recite four Q five, ten, and eleven, which is my favorite prayer from the Dead Sea Scrolls. Not that I'm claiming to be a myskil, an instructor, but ignore that part.
But and I the maskil in making a proclamation of his God's glory splendor in order to instill dread and to terrify all of the spirits of the angels of destruction, the spirits of the bastards, demons, lilith, howlers, desert dwellers, and those who suddenly strike in suddenness to lead an astray and established spirit and to charm hearts.
I mean JJ, did your did your side Not that I am aware of, but anything's possible. You you completely froze after you were done saying Satan. I heard nothing until just now. What? I I swear on God. I swear on God. I believe you just where I need to record myself because I was like, I'm just sitting here and I'm like, it's gonna be one of those days.
My goodness gracious.
See I have the only thing I have right now is this right here, because you know the incident that happened yesterday. And I don't have my cross on me. So I'm like over here, but it literally, the moment you got done saying Satan, it just went completely frozen, and then said we're trying to reconnect you to your internet. And I'm like, my internet is fine. Yep.
Oh, it's gonna be so uh as I was alluding to everybody, this is part of the issue. Bad things have been going around for Miss Amanda here, and I if you don't mind, I I'd like you for you to share some of this crap.
Where do you want me to begin? Would you like me to start with the story that I told Chris and Dean?
Yeah, because I feel like that would be a great starting point.
Yeah, I feel like that's gonna be the eye-opener for people. So basically, when I was 15 years old, I had something extremely traumatic happen to me. I won't go into details. So after this incident had happened, I used to be on a game called Gaia Online. I don't know if you guys, anybody on the show would know what that is, but it's a little game that you would create these little avatars and you would go around and you would meet people. It was it was a little chat. And keep in mind, this is when I was 15, so back in the day when MySpace basically was around.
So I was on that game, but after the incident that had happened, I started to feel like something was there around me, and it was not a comfortable feeling. It felt like something was constantly behind me. Uh, so much to the point where it was very hard for me to even sleep, it was hard for me to even focus, and even to this day now, it's very hard for me to even be in lines with somebody behind me. I get very uncomfortable. So I'm always constantly looking around, even though people think that it's well, what why does she keep looking around?
It it's super anxiety, but it's also because of that traumatic experience that I had. So we had razor phones, huh?
I said bless your heart.
Oh, it's okay. Uh so we had razor phones back in the day. So as I was saying, I was on Gaia Online one night and I had a bunk bed at the time. So I would always recluse myself in this in my room. I didn't grow up in the best of households either. Constant arguing, fighting, abusive. So it it was just all of that tension I felt like was part of it too, to help manifest whatever this was. Um, it was on Gaia one night, and I had made a friend along with my other friend. Her name was Kristen, and I'm still friends with her to this day. She even remembers the whole incident.
So as I'm sitting there on Gaia Online, we're in a little chat area. So you can have your little avatar walking around and you can chat while you're, you know, walking around. So we met this person and they commented on my avatar. So we just got started chit-chatting. Well, this kid straight up asked me, You basically can we chat privately? And I was like, Okay, yeah, that's whatever. So we all went into this other little thing. Well, he said, There's something going on with you. And I was like, what the hell?
Like, I don't talk to anybody, I don't say anything to anybody, and also I never knew what like demons look like or even like anything like that, because I would never look that stuff up because first of all, it scared me. Even though I was into scary movies and stuff, I never would even remotely imagine what I am about to describe. Um so we got to know each other and just started talking, and I found it weird, you know, that he knew something was wrong. And I I'm not gonna sit here and say that I was like not depressed, I was depressed because well, all the that crap that had happened to me.
So, long story short, one day we talk over the phone. I got in really big trouble for that after the fact. So he had asked to talk to me, and his father was a preacher, and he said that there's something, you know, with you. And I was like, What how how do you know this basically? So, as I'm in my room, um, the the well, before I mentioned that, I was in the kitchen one day and my grandfather was at the kitchen table. My grandmother was in front of the kitchen counter and I was going in the fridge to get a soda.
As I was going to get a fridge and a soda, this thing got so close to my back to the point where I kicked, I kicked back and shut the drawer for the fridge and leaned back up against the counter with my grandmother. My grandmother, you know, was hooting and hollering at me. And my granddaddy, on the other hand, he did believe in that stuff. My grandmother, they were very religious, like very, very like Bible, you know, crazy. And my grandfather just would just ignore it. Say, just ignore it. Or if you want to talk to it, you ask what it is. No, we don't ask what that is.
We don't ask what that is. So I didn't bother to tell my family because it was very hard for me to even get attention from them as it was, you know.
So I just what what did you feel? Did you see anything, or was it just a a feeling that something was behind you?
It was a feeling at first, but then it got to the point where it would just get closer and closer and closer. And during that time where the refrigerator thing happened, that's where it it felt like it was like somebody right here. Like literally, like say you're standing behind me, but you're so close. So I panicked, and that's when I kicked the refrigerator door or the refrigerator sliding thing where uh drawer where you have sodas in. So going back to the part where I am talking to this boy, and to this day, I still am not able to remember his name. I can't.
Now to answer your question, did I ever see it? Oh yes, I did, but this was the only time that I ever seen it. Every other time, it was just a feeling. I was never really able to sleep at night, like I said. It was just so much trauma that had happened from that situation. And I think just like I said, on top of what was happening in my family, on top of what was happening with that, it was just too much and just too overwhelming.
And as we all know, those things feed off a negativity and you know, depression or just hostile environments, you know, you're very weak at that point, especially me being so young. So I'm on the phone with this boy late at night. I would say maybe 12, 1 o'clock in the morning, I would say. So I'm talking to him, and he, like I said, he told me that there's something behind or something not behind you, but there's something with you. And I just kept saying, I don't I have not told anybody this.
And he said, Well, I'm gonna say a prayer, but we can't talk anymore ever again after I'm done saying this. And I was so confused as to why I didn't know what he was talking about. Like it was just mind-boggling to me that he even remembered or even remembered Jesus, even knew what was going on. So as I'm talking to him, he starts to say this prayer. Now, mind you, I said I had a bunk bed. So I have my cell phone just like this, and of course, there's no like speaker on a razor phone at that time, so I'm just listening. Well, this fucking thing literally comes out from behind me.
It's in front of me. So let's say this is my bunk bed, right? Just yeah, this is like me sitting on my bunk bed, straightforward is gonna be my closet. The thing comes out from behind and just it's just a black mass, and it curls up. It's like like like this. Like curled, like a f- Oh, just fucking terrifying. And the the way that I described it to Chris and Dean was before Smeagol was even around. You can imagine the shape of it like that, but more decrepit and more cripple looking and just like like punched and uh in the corner by my closet.
But the way that its mouth opened, JJ, it was like thousands, uh like a Cheshire cat, but like thousands of teeth. It had eye sockets, no eyes, no nothing. So it was in front of me, and I seen just the smile and just no fucking eyes. It was just completely black. And I, JJ, when I we we lived on acres of land. So when I seen this thing, he was still talking and I screamed bloody murder, and I ran out of my door, I ran out of my house, and I went running with him into the yard, a giant ass acreed yard, and I just kept running. I just kept running all the way down.
And he was like, Amanda, I can't talk to you anymore. And I I just was so confused as to why, and he was like, It's here, and I was like, What do you mean it's there? And he be I did not even describe anything to him, I just screamed and ran. And then he was like, I can't talk to you anymore, it's here, and I said, What is there? And he started describing it. And I I just lost it, and then I never heard from him ever again.
He was never on Gaia anymore, and it took me a very long time to talk about this because when I had a therapist for the situation that I went through my therapist said I was basically fucking crazy. So that's why I learned to stay silent about a lot of things in my life because you know, people think you're crazy when you try to explain something like this to them. And it took me 20 years to talk about it. When I met Chris and Dean and I I heard about their podcast, I felt so comfortable around them to tell them, and it literally took me that long to come out with this.
And now like I'm I'm getting freaked out right now. Like I'm feeling shaky. I it's so uncomfortable to talk about because I feel like and this is gonna sound bizarre, but I feel like things like that can come back in hu human form and like kinda haunt you. And ever since all of this happened in my life, it's just been weird shit, one thing after another with my family, with myself, and I feel like there's just so and there's so much negativity now. Um, you know, trying to fight that off is by yourself is very hard.
I I I don't know if we'll keep this in or not, but I will say when you describe something kind of like Schmeagel, that's almost exactly the kind of image I had of the individual that we were talking about yesterday. I said scont, gaunt, skeletal. Sorry, I'm not I'm not trying to make you upset at all.
No, that's what I mean. Like, I that's why I said you could keep this in, like it needs to stay in because I I want people to understand like what I'm going through is is fucking real. What I think on a daily basis is real. It's not okay. And when I was with this person, I had so many negative things happen from almost dying in a car accident, constantly being sick. I never got sick. I would have these horrendous coughs that would last months, months, so much to the point where I had to go to the hospital and they were telling me it's not your asthma.
My house is completely clean, I'm not around mold or anything. It was the person and the environment and the negativity that that they brought. And it it's just even talking about it, it just gives me chills, and I I tried to see the good in things, but it's very hard to, and that's why I mentioned I feel like I even told you this yesterday, the Constantine thing. I truly do feel like there are angels that are there, and then there are demons that are there, and they are disguised as both, you know, and just like the negativity feeds off of they feed off of the negativity.
That's what narcissistic people do. They feed off of the good in the person draining them to basically wither them down into nothing. And and you know, I will say that I feel like that thing came back as a human form to fuck with me, and I I don't know why. I think personally, I think it's because I was getting closer to God, and every time I was getting closer to God, there were things that were pushing me further away from him because of the situations that I was put in.
It very well could be. Now, between that initial encounter and when we started doing some initial talks, did anything happen in between all of that? Okay. Do you want to go through some of that? And again, if we if we need to take a break for a little bit, it's not a problem.
Okay, that's okay.
I'm sorry for making you relive this because that's J kind of the last thing I want to do.
You don't. You don't. My unfortunately I will let this be known. I've suffered C P T S D now from the relationship that I had. So I don't relive this just now. I relive this every single day. Um, to answer your question, yes, it was mo please give me some time to bear everything. Like it was mostly just odd things would happen, like my health would deteriorate, just my mind would deteriorate, just my dog would be more aggressive towards me, and Baymax is not aggressive at all. And ever since this it's been gone, Baymax doesn't get aggressive at all anymore.
It's so calm in my house, minus the fact that you know my mind is just not all there. It's just a lot of weird shit that has happened. I'm sorry, my mind is so boggled, but I some of the things that I mentioned to you, can you like refresh my memory? So m I know the cross. I know I told you about that where the cross was formed on my uh bathroom.
Yes, yeah, there was that, there was the angelic numbers that you would have.
Yeah, my 444. I still see those every day. And actually, I have a great story on that. Yesterday, or no, excuse me, the day before, I went to a restaurant and this girl had a bunch of tattoos like all over her her arms and everything like that. And one of them on her wrist was 444. And I was like, oh my gosh. I was like, so you believe in God and angels and stuff. She's like, Yeah, I was like, I see this all the time. So it's 444, 777, and now I've been seeing 333, which are all angelic symbols. Oh, now you trigger my memory. The doves. My doves will always show up.
And what's weird about these doves is I need to fast or uh rewind a little bit. When I was in that situation, doves, I never seen birds on my porch, even living there in Chicago for three years. Birds never really approached my even though I was on, I think I was on the oh my god, what floor was I on? Jesus Christ. I think it was like the third or I don't know. Anyway, on the balcony. But I never seen the birds, I never had a bird feeder out there. Um, I just had a table and chairs. But ever since that person left me the first time, a dove came. Just one single dove. That was it.
And I would hear her and she would coo and you know, call. So ever since then, the first time these doves, no matter where I went, even moving here, they would show up. Well now it's two, two will show up on my patio, and it's always when I'm starting to feel like I'm descending into deep water. That's a sleep token reference. They will come or birds will come, or I will get dragonflies that'll come around me, or butterflies.
And it's just I feel like it's not only just angels protecting, but it's also my grandparents, you know, saying hello or coming to visit me, and basic or God's way of saying, Hey, I know this hurts, I know this doesn't seem like this was okay for this to happen, but it's a guiding, you know, from to help me push through. And as we both know, yesterday was not the best of days for me, and thank you for that, by the way.
Oh, it's my it was my pleasure. So, yeah, so you were experiencing a lot of dark things in your apartment at the time. Like, as you said, your dog who is a corgi, by the way. I mean, this is not an aggressive read by any stretch of the boy, boy. Let me know when you're back.
JJ, I don't know if you can hear me on your end, but I just took a picture as saying that it's re trying to reconnect my internet. Are you there?
I am here, yeah.
It froze again, right?
It did, yeah.
As soon as you started talking about dark shit. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not shit you can fake. I even took a picture just now, just to show that it's like, okay, we can't connect.
Oh, you gotta like it. And you know what's messed up?
You know what's messed up is that when Chris and Dean were interviewing me, the same exact shit happened. Like the entire thing just froze. And Chris was like, let's get on a more happier topic, Amanda, because this has happened like I think it happened twice. I was it the third time now with this. This is okay.
Yeah, something really doesn't want you talking about it.
No, it doesn't. And I don't know what this is something trying to protect me because I'm already because of my mindset, even right now, JJ, it's it's not in the best. Um, I'm okay with talking about what happened yesterday. I think people I think it it plays a big part, and it's one of those things like I would I wear a cross around my neck, and the reason why I don't have it on right now is because I had a severe mental breakdown yesterday in my shop. As I mentioned, I own my own detailing business and I have for 12 years. And I finally got my dream shop.
So as I'm working on this truck, I just severely broke down from everything, just thinking about, you know, how how can people be so cruel when you are doing nothing but trying to be a good person to them? But you have to realize that you can't change people unless they want to be changed. So as I'm detailing, I literally just collapse to the ground and I get so mad. I literally take my cross and I say, fuck you, in my mind, and I toss it so hard that it got caught. It got caught one because it was magnetic.
My toolbox is magnetic, so it stuck to my toolbox, and I just stared at it, and I just felt myself like hating the fact that I had that on me, and I felt I didn't feel anything really like other than just broken. I felt like I didn't want to be here anymore, and I've I've had a lot of suicidal thoughts that a lot of people are not aware of that. You know, I I play like I'm okay on the internet, and I think a lot of us do.
We we post things to put up a a curtain, so to speak, of you know, we're I'm okay, I'm doing this, but a lot of people need to understand that for myself, I cosplay now not only just to feel like I'm human again, but also to feel like I can't let this defeat me even though it it feels like it does every day. Uh and yesterday was just bad, and thanks to JJ guys, I he messaged me at like such a perfect moment because where I was, I was sitting at my kitchen counter just debating things. I won't go into further detail, and I just felt like I just didn't want to be here anymore.
And I felt that way for a very long time now because I feel empty and I and I am hitting a stage where I thought that I would never be back because this is what I felt when I was 15. It is exactly the same. But for me, I feel like this is worse because I didn't have a connection with that thing, that that entity. I had a connection with a human being, you know, that I just the shit that happened in in that situation was just bizarre.
Like from from the point when we first moved into our the apartment, I told Chris and Dean there was when we first moved in, there was literally nothing in the apartment except for like random shit that we needed. Like we didn't even have the bed in there yet. It was just a mattress. So this say this cup is on the counter of the bathroom. This shit literally goes that far. Like across the fucking counter. Guys, please understand. I keep my house so damn clean that it doesn't even look like somebody lives here. It looks like it's a staged house. There's no conversation, nobody took a shower.
This is the like the second night or third night that we're in the damn house. So him and I are standing there and we just watch this thing go right across. I'm like, yeah, you fucking see that? He's like, yeah. I'm like, all right, here we go. I did forget to mention, I don't know if I mentioned this in Chris and Dean's thing. As we all know, mirrors. Mirrors. Well, I had this giant mirror, the stand-up mirrors. Thank you for licking me, Baymax. I know you're keeping me calm. My Corgian, he knows when shit. He knows.
He he knows, actually, that's what it was when Baymax would growl randomly at the door. Out the door. It's like AOL processor. It's like, when I'm talking, it'll it'll start to pick up. But yeah, that that happened with the shaving cream bottle. And then Baymax would just randomly growl at the door. Like, there's my door right there, guys. So he would sit right there and just growl profusely by the door. Had no idea. Nobody there. We would hear weird ass noises, what sounded like footsteps. Yes, I know. Everybody's gonna say, Well, you live in an apartment.
Okay, well, keep in mind, we were the only ones living in this apartment complex. We were literally the only human beings on the property because they were just built. So we were the first ones to move in. We think that it's due to this the amount of suicides that happened over here by the power plant. And I did get a confirmation on that from a very reliable source. They are a paramedic. So there are a lot of suicides that happened here.
I believe that uh somebody had told me that it was like an Indian burial ground uh that it was built on, and I do believe I mentioned that even in the podcast with Kristen Dean. Now back to the mirror part before I lose my train of thought. So the mirrors, I had a giant stand-up mirror. I've had this mirror forever, JJ. Forever. Okay? Tell me how can this thing just randomly fall? When him and I are in the living room, it just fell. Like somebody fucking pushed it over. And when I say that it shattered, it shattered. And that gave now thinking about all this is really giving me severe PTSD.
But from that moment, I was like, okay. And then another mirror had broke that was very important to me. That Chris is gonna kill me. I got it out of your sale. And that broke. Now I keep in mind this thing was not even wrapped during my move and it never broke. But then when him and I were moving uh the stuff to a storage facility right down the road, it all of a sudden broke when he pulled it out. And I'm like, Huh, seven years bad luck with the first one now, seven years bad luck with this one. What the fuck is happening? So I still kept the frame of it.
It was a gothic style mirror and it was beautiful. What I did is I just slowly took out the pieces because the way that it cracked was so perfect that I could just pull out the pieces and didn't shatter. So I kept the remaining frame. But it's just it just seemed like everything that could go wrong in my life went wrong. Like from having to get regular jobs, which I hated. I never had a regular job in years because I had my business. I started it out in Florida, then I moved to Chicago, and then Chicago to here.
In Chicago, I wasn't doing too well financially, but I was still keeping afloat with everything. But then it's like, even when I had all of that happening, nothing major was oh no. Like picturing it, I was like, oh no.
Something does not want me talking about this. But I think it's very important because, you know, maybe not so much like like Chris mentions all the time in his podcast, when you speak of these things, they they are around you. I don't I don't think JJ that and correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think an attachment can ever leave a person. I think it's just dormented or it just comes in different forms. Like that boy took away whatever that was, and people don't believe me. Like they they don't I know what I seen, I know what I saw, I wasn't crazy, I can't make this shit up.
And I think the best part is is I have a friend that can even confess to all of this because she was in the group chat when him and I were uh talking, and then I told her that he was gonna call me, but I told her the same exact story. Like it doesn't it doesn't change, it might be shortened, sure. And I kind of want to shorten it because even when I was talking to Chris and Dean, that's when it was that was my first time ever talking about it. And in 20 years, like I told you I didn't trust anybody, number one.
But I feel like now that as we all know, it's it's hard, and I'm not discrediting everybody, but it is very hard nowadays, especially with AI or you know, all of these things that you know people can just bullshit a story just to get on well a podcast or anything like that. And and I'm over here like, what the fuck do I benefit from this, but more trauma, like or the potential of it coming back?
No, right.
No, there also I laugh because I have anxiety right now. So laughing is a m uh like a coping mechanism.
Well, of course of course. I mean, that's a a natural human reaction. Now, the the reason I wanted to to talk with you was A, not just to get your story and to get it out there, because I think it's important, but B, to demonstrate the fact that I think that you are kind of a I hate to say this, and I'm I'm not saying it to be mean or anything else. I I think that you are kind of the perfect poster child for a case of obsession that has progressed to oppression.
And what's the difference again?
Yeah, it it's a very common question. So obsession is when an infernal entity begins to attack your mind. It's purely mental at that point. It attempts to infiltrate into your life and begin to mess it up. And once it has made enough inroads, then it moves into the physical. So at first you couldn't see whatever this thing that was behind you, right? And then all of a sudden you saw it. It had the ability to do that. And yes, you went, you know, you still experienced things along the way, but then you had situations that allowed it to come back even stronger. Yeah.
And it is well past just a mental situation, and this is what we did a consultation about of how to help protect yourself. And some of the things that I recommended was say Psalm 91 and to read it, and I even created a recording of Psalm 91 in Tiberian Hebrew so that you could play. Not that my voice is anything pleasant to listen to.
Stop JJ, stop. You have no more.
But, you know, at least it would help. And then to say the prayer to St. Michael, and you know, I just realized I never sent you the bloody Saint Benedict medallion. I am so I am such a bad person. I will do that. In fact, I will upgrade you to a premium, like, giant version of a Saint Benedict medallion that I have hanging behind me, actually. Beautiful. I'll do that tomorrow, as long as my wife doesn't have to use the car for anything. But uh I I apologize, but I've been really bad about that.
Can I ask you something? Sorry to interrupt. So when you did send me that, what was it that I needed you to send me that that him? Is that how do you say it? Or heim? I'm so stupid.
The Psalm 91.
Yeah, Psalm, sorry. Prayer. Yeah. Yeah. I I do need to let people understand. I don't purposely try to forget shit. It is very bad. When you have CPTSD, a lot of your memory goes out the door. But that was my question. Like, do you remember why I said like I can go back because I have it saved. But I know that I messaged you for a reason. Something was happening in my house.
Yeah, you were saying that you know it it felt the air felt extremely oppressive in your place. Your cats were going kind of crazy, your dog was going crazy.
Yeah, that's when Baymax was barking and shit. Like it was bad.
Yeah, and then you were going into a you know a previous relationship, and how you think that has been, you know, a negative influence upon your life, and we've touched upon some of that here, so we don't need to delve into that aspect of it. But no, I I really wanted people to know that, you know, and I think that you said it absolutely perfectly. If you become a target of obsession or oppression, which can then of course lead to possession, unless you have your spiritual house in perfect order, which I don't know anyone that does, to be perfectly honest. I most certainly do not.
I you can do things to mitigate that obsession or oppression. It doesn't mean that it's just going to go away. And in fact, these things often lurk around the corner searching for the perfect opportunities to spring back in.
Right, the perfect moment, which I feel like is now.
Yeah, it really is. And oh I see Baymax. Hello, puff pup.
That is gonna be famous.
He is so pretty. Like, isn't he adorable?
He's such a handsome man. He's like, Yes, can I be interviewed too, Mum? I love you.
I think that uh that Baymax and Marina Chan would be good for Hold on. I will show you a I will show you a picture. You know what a you know what a Samoria is?
I do.
Yeah, Rena Chan is like the most picture perfect Samoria that I have ever seen. Let's see. Those those are my granddogs. Oh here we go. Here we go.
Oh my god. Oh my god, how beautiful. How old are you?
Yeah. She is, I think she's going on three years old.
So she's a year older than B Max. Oh my gosh, she's precious. You must send me that photo on Instagram.
I can do that.
In fact, you know, it's like a stoic statue, Sleet Togan.
You know what the the other kind of weird thing is? I've never been a whoa, someone's opinionated. I've never been a bird person.
Is it a cottage? Oh no, they're on parakeet.
Yeah. I got two just randomly, and I've been thinking of actually getting into pigeons because they're beautiful. Which is weird because in Japan, uh on our balcony, we had a couple of pigeons that would come and they were nothing but nuisances. And everyone tries to get rid of them. I wasn't a great big fan, but after seeing a whole bunch of bird content, I'm like, okay, maybe I need to get me a pigeon now. So I I don't know.
But I am so sorry to have interrupted you. I know the last thing that you were talking about is the reason why you got me on here is to the oppression obsession, and then like it it comes back to lurk in corners and at your most vulnerable points. Okay, Max. I know. I'm here. I'm here. I'm here. He does not like it. I know it's cutting out again. JJ, are you there?
I'm here.
That's also why he's whining. Because he knows it's not that he wants me to pet him. He'll just chill. I know. I am okay. This is hard.
Can you go quiet? Where's Ball? Can you go get me Ball? Go. The best child ever. Did you get it? So you were go ahead.
So you were saying that uh before we before I got distracted by whatever shiny thing was around, as I am usually like to do. What what was I going on about?
Saying about a pro uh oppression, obsession, and then possession.
Yes.
And that it can linger in a corner.
Yes. And you know, there's no rhyme or reason as to who was selected. I think uh Father Malachi Martin, who's the author of Hostage to the Devil, which if you haven't read it, I need to read it. Yep. It's really amazing. The audiobook version is very good too, in case you prefer audio over text. But he conducted an extensive profile of individuals who were affected by the infernal. And there is no rhyme or reason. There's no like particular demographic that is more likely.
It's just, in fact, in Hostage to the Devil, one of the stories, it just says, you know, this individual was selected before they were born. We have no idea why a person becomes a target. It's just simply the fact that they are. And one of the ultimate tools for the for the thing that is doing the oppressing is for you to keep it quiet, for you to not share any of this information, to internalize it, to bury it deep down, and then to let it affect every portion of your life that it possibly can. And by letting this out, by sharing it, yes, it's a painful experience.
I fully am cognizant of that. But not only are you kind of leaching this darkness out of your soul, but you're allowing others who have experienced the same kind of trauma to heal.
Right.
And I I thoroughly appreciate your courage and your courageousness, because that's that's what this is. It's nothing short of that. Talking about these things is a fucking painful thing to do.
Right.
And I don't I don't want you to do this not for goddamn numbers, not for my popularity. I don't give a rat's ass.
Right. And the same for me. And that's what I mentioned before. This is what the fuck do I gain from this, guys? Exactly. To those that listen and think that I'm bullshitting, what do I gain from this? I gain nothing but me freaking out. I'm already having anxiety. When I get off of here, I'm gonna have even more of an anxiety attack because I know that I have to mentally prep myself for the nighttime. Nighttime is where it hits me the most. I did want to say something. In that book, he mentioned that he says that some of us could have been born to be chosen this way.
Do you ever stop to think and this is just a theory, do you think that we're chosen by God Himself to see how strong-willed we are and testing our fate or our faith? Excuse me, not fate, our faith to see how much we can push through and push away the the the horrific shit that we go through. Because I feel a lot of times people don't believe in God because of the things that happened to them. I was one of them. The way that my grandfather passed away, I cursed God the outside. I I I said the most horrific things to him.
Now keep in mind during that time I didn't believe in him anyhow because it was shoved down my throat. And it it was it's it's kind of hard when when things like that are put and tried to be embedded into you instead of naturally, you know, accepting it. What I'm getting with this is I when my grandfather passed away in such a horrific way, I questioned if God is real, how can he let somebody suffer like this? How can he let children die? How can he let children get cancer? How how how how? Well, that's what free will is. That is just he gave you life.
This is what happens if you believe in him, and I do, I I believe in God so much because there this is no coincidence. There's no coincidences in my life, and that person would always say that too. There's no coincidences that happen to me. Just these things just come and they they'll they'll either come they'll come in threes, which is I feel like my birthday is a curse because I was born on the third of November, so it's everything comes in threes. But I digress.
What I was saying is Oh my god, you said the third of November?
Yeah.
You know that I'm going to die on November 2nd, right?
Please don't say that, JJ. Like seriously.
No, no, no. I I'm I I mean, whether or not that happens, I of course I have no idea of, but I when I was a kid, and I've I've shared the story before, I slept in a log cabin that's over 200 years old. It was haunted as hell.
Okay.
And above the bed to the side was a picture of my great-grandfather.
Wow.
And it's one of the like the two pictures that we had of him. And I remember waking up one night, and uh, right across the way was the entrance to the attic, a door that was only button closed with a piece of wood on a nail. And the attic door opened, and I heard a voice come to me blowing cold wind saying, You will die on November 2nd. And I looked up to a picture of my grandfather and great-grandfather, and it was smiling down with the coldest, craziest grin I have ever seen in my life. I woke up, thankfully, it was a dream, but I've always wondered, was it a dream?
And my mind officially blanks out anytime the date November 2nd begins to come around.
I don't know, I don't know if you can see this, but look in my arm, like I can't, like my oh no, I I don't I don't like hearing that because I feel like my my birth months have the most horrific shit that has ever happened when I watch, and I'm so sorry that that happened. This will not happen. Like w how old were you when this happened?
10, 11, something like that, maybe nine. I don't know.
No, I I would leave.
I was in elementary school because we we moved out of that old house into the new house, which was really a double wide trailer set in the back of it when I was in eighth grade. So this happened well before then.
Right. Oh my god. Yeah, no, I I would have been out. I would have been like, okay, I'm out.
It wasn't the weird first weird thing that happened in that house, and it most certainly wasn't the last.
Very God, no. But I um what is your thoughts on that with what I mentioned with that book?
There's a common there's a common phrase of, you know, God gives his toughest battles to his strongest warriors. And I hate that saying.
I Yeah.
It's it's just so so pat and so trite, and it really expresses nothing at all besides sounding pithy and cute.
Right.
At the end of the day, I mean, of course, the the idea of the justice of God, you know, the study of of that, which is theodicy, is an entire discipline in and of itself. I won't even pretend to try to break it down here.
Right.
But I will say that at the end of the day, life is unfair.
Yeah.
We all start at different places.
Yes.
We have different playing grounds, we have different experiences, and yes, while on one hand that makes life interesting and rich, at the other hand, it also breeds evil and corruption and everything else that you can imagine. So why someone would have this added benef well, quote unquote, benefit of being a target of obsession or oppression, I have no idea. I I wish I did. We are playing by rules that we simply do not have access to.
Right. And I also firmly believe that I know I'm probably gonna get a lot of shit for saying this. But people also become you can either become a product of your environment or you can everybody has a a conscience mind to logically think, do I want to be like this or do I not want to be like this? Now this is completely separate from those that have, you know, mental disorders or anything like that. Like people that suffer, oh boy, the amount of times that this is done, this is insane. Are we back?
We're back. The last thing I heard you say was that everyone has a conscious mind to, and that's when it froze.
So everybody has a conscious mind to decide you know where they want their life to go. Me, for instance, I grew up in a very alcoholic drug environment, abusive mentally and physically. But did I choose to be that type of person? No. No, I wanted to become nothing like that. And I just my heart can't do it. It's just like when listen and I don't give a fuck what anybody thinks of me. At the end of the day, I know who I am and I know what I am, and I'm I don't have to lie about who I am because I feel like lying, people are just gonna figure it out anyway. You know what I mean?
So again, it goes to be accurate. Right.
113 people. I was the first to go to college out of everyone in my gigantic family. Yeah. I could have been just like everyone else, went and got a job at the aluminum plant or the tire plant, stayed my entire life there and never wanted for anything else. Or I did what I did.
